Today (24 Jan. 2017) Mr. Somchai Sujjapong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Ms. Banjongjit Angsusing, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, Ms. Phatcha Pongkeeratiyut, Deputy Director-General of the Revenue Department, Mr. Pornthep Karnsap, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, Mr. Chatchai Kunpitilak deputy director Acting in the position of Director of the Office of Software Industry Promotion and Mr. Mongkol Leelatham, Managing Director of the Bank of Thailand, joined the press conference.

 

Single account SMART SMEs loan, total project limit of 10,000 million baht, maximum loan amount 15 million baht, low interest of only 5% in the first year and grace period of up to 12 months, installments up to 10 years, using collateral according to the bank’s rules to support entrepreneurs to have working capital to invest, expand or improve the business The focus is on 2 groups of entrepreneurs, namely Group 1: Entrepreneurs who are legal entities that operate drugstores, gold shops, eyeglasses shops, and tourism businesses such as hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, car rental companies, souvenir shops for tourists. including spa business and tourism-related businesses, etc. Group 2: General juristic entrepreneurs registered as juristic persons for more than 1 year that operate retail, wholesale, production or service businesses. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the bank by which the Bank of Thailand issued the said loan project in accordance with the resolution. Today, SME Bank signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the project with 4 partner agencies, namely the Revenue Department, Department of Business Development. Mr. Mongkol Leelatham, Managing Director of the Bank of Thailand, said that the Bank of Thailand’s operating results at the end of 2016 said that the bank helped 11,225 entrepreneurs to access funding sources, totaling 34,621 million baht, with an average loan of 3 million baht. baht and manage non-performing debt (NPLs) as targeted, with the balance (NPLs) decreased to 17,822 million baht, compared to the same period in 2015, there were 23,452 million baht (NPLs) 23,452 million baht, a decrease of 5,630 million baht. In 2017, the SME Bank plans operations as proposed to the State Enterprise Policy Committee (Students) by defining the strategies for the year 2017 as follows: 1. Strategies for strengthening financial stability Reduce the burden of relying on government budgets with a target of loan disbursement of 30,000 million baht, reducing NPLs of not more than 16,600 million baht The goal is for 4,500 entrepreneurs to develop business knowledge, increase efficiency by 1,100, and increase the ability to run 550 businesses, including a goal to invest with 50 entrepreneurs.
